My aunt told me about The Great Valentine Swap and I signed up as soon as I could. You send three handmade valentines to strangers and will get three valentines made by strangers in return. How fun is this?!
For my valentines I decided to make a winners pin out of felt. I cut all the shapes out of felt and then glued them together. For the ribbon portion I just stitched some embroidery thread to add a little detail. I made the valentine portion out of paper and vintage layaway tags. I almost wrote "Valentine you are my favorite pin" but decided to go with the above. I tied some bakers twin around the pin and valentine and then sent those babies in the mail!
I hope the ladies enjoy their valentines. It was so much fun to make something for someone you don't even know.
I also shared a little DIY video about them on Vine (my user name is CaseyBovee) too. How do you guys feel about that app? I have mixed feelings!
Adorable!
